LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash Monday afternoon.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection  Red Arrow Highway and County Road 681 in Lawrence Township.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said Brittany Britten was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey  north on County Road 681 when she failed to yield at the intersection. Police said her vehicle struck a Chevy Suburban driven by Jessica Celis, which caused it to roll several times. Jose Celis was riding in the front seat of the Chevy and was ejected when the vehicle flipped.

Police said Jessica suffered critical injuries and Jose sustained serious injuries. Authorities said Britten was not hurt.
