BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek police say that one person is behind bars after assaulting a woman Friday afternoon.
It happened around 3:30 PM in the 600 block of Oakbrook Boulevard. Officers were called to the area to investigate an assault. Upon arrival, they found a woman who suffered injuries to her neck and head.
Within minutes, they learned the identity of her assailant and placed that person under arrest. That person was lodged on a charge of Assault With Intent To Murder.
The woman was taken to Bronson Hospital for treatment.
