GEORGETOWN TWP, Mich. – The ramp from westbound I-196 to the M-6 was closed Thursday afternoon after an asphalt truck tumbled over.

The crash happened around noon. Police say that Marco Guillen of Grand Rapids lost control of the truck on wet roads. It hit the guard rail and overturned, spilling asphalt all over the roadway.

Guilen was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition.

The ramp was closed for about 2 hours while crews cleaned up the spill.
