GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A 12-foot tall snowman in one Grand Rapids yard will be familiar to anyone who has watched the Disney hit movie Frozen.

Jeff Lesatz and his 19-year-old daughter, Samantha, spent about 4 and a half hours last Friday building a giant Olaf in their yard in the 1400 block of Lamont Avenue NW.

"His arms are basically a stick, his buttons are ice cream buckets cut in half with a black plastic around it," said Jeff Lesatz. "His nose is basically a cone, his eyes are actually a Pam cap painted black."

The duo said building snowmen brings the family together while giving the community something to enjoy and talk about.

"That’s the one thing I love about life is making other people happy and smiling, so it’s really cool," said Samantha Lesatz.
