Tulip Time to go for dance record again

Posted

HOLLAND, Mich.  — The Tulip Time festival in Holland is trying again to break a record for dancing in wooden shoes after an attempt last year fell short.

This year’s attempt is set to take place May 14 at Kollen Park in Holland. Festival organizers want to set a record for the largest number of people dancing simultaneously in wooden shoes.

The record currently stands at 2,605 people according to organizers. Organizers said about 1,700 people turned out for the attempt to break the record at last year’s festival.

The Tulip Time festival will be held May 7-14.
