MONTCALM TOWNSHIP, Mich. — No one was injured Thursday morning after a crash involving a school bus and a horse and buggy in Montcalm Township.
The crash was reported at 8:22 a.m. at Greenville Road (M-91) and Dickerson Lake Road, according to the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department.
The eastbound school bus was stopped to make a left turn onto Greenville Road and drove into the intersection at the same time as the southbound horse and buggy, according to a release. The horse hit the front driver’s side fender of the bus.
The bus and the buggy sustained minor damage. The driver of the buggy, a 56-year-old Lakeview man, told police the horse appeared unharmed.
Four students were on the bus at the time of the crash, according to a release from the sheriff’s department.
