MONTCALM TOWNSHIP, Mich. —  No one was injured Thursday morning after a crash involving a school bus and a horse and buggy in Montcalm Township.

The crash was reported at 8:22 a.m. at Greenville Road (M-91) and Dickerson Lake Road, according to the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department.

The eastbound school bus was stopped to make a left turn onto Greenville Road and drove into the intersection at the same time as the southbound horse and buggy, according to a release.   The horse hit the front driver’s side fender of the bus.

The bus and the buggy sustained minor damage.  The driver of the buggy, a 56-year-old Lakeview man, told police the horse appeared unharmed.

Four students were on the bus at the time of the crash, according to a release from the sheriff’s department.
