GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A lot of us have “Powerball Fever” and you may be seeing a viral post going around from @livesosa with a math explanation on how winning the Powerball jackpot, which is now at $1.4 billion, could solve poverty in the United States.
However, before you share, be aware – the math doesn’t work out.
1,300,000,000 / 300,000,000 actually equals $4.33. Not quite enough for a $5 footlong sub at Subway.
Livesosa is being made aware of their math error, of course, in the comments of their original post.
