GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- One person is in custody after a shot was fired during a domestic dispute Thursday afternoon, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
Police responded to the 300 block of Calkins Avenue SE shortly after 5 p.m. after a report that a 23-year-old woman was being held at gunpoint by her husband.
Soon after arriving to the scene, officers found the victim leaving the residence saying that her 23-year-old husband had fired a shot and was threatening suicide.
GRPD surrounded the home and made announcements for the suspect to come out. He left the house at approximate 5:50 p.m. and was arrested.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Neither the identity of the suspect nor of the victim have been released.
