Each year on Christmas Eve, a group of volunteers in the Breton Downs neighborhood in East Grand Rapids go to work putting on a light display like no other. They fill thousands of small paper bags with a little sand and a votive candle, then line the streets with thousands of these beautiful night lights, known as luminarias.
