PARCHMENT, Mich. – Police arrested three Kalamazoo Township juveniles Monday afternoon for allegedly breaking into two homes.
Kalamazoo Township Police were called by two residents of Parchment, Michigan that their homes had been broken into while they were out. Cash, jewelry and collectible coins had been stolen.
As police investigated, retail businesses reported three juveniles spending money in denominations similar to what had been stolen, including collectible coins. Investigators knew who the juveniles were from previous encounters and got a search warrant for a residence in Parchment where two of the juveniles live and the third frequently visits. There, they say they found most of the rest of the stolen property.
All three, ages 12, 13, and 15, were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home. Police say they also found a small amount of suspected marijuana on the 15-year-old.
The Prosecutor is reviewing possible charges.
