HOLLAND, Mich. - The spirit of giving is alive and well in Holland this season.
The Salvation Army of Holland reports that on Friday morning, someone dropped a $50 Canadian Maple Leaf gold coin in a Red Kettle at the Family Fare store on Washington Avenue in Holland.
A local coin dealer estimated the value of the coin at about $1,150.
