West Michigan – Our unusually mild December will continue this weekend with the chance of record high temperatures. A storm system will track west of the state putting us in the southerly flow and warm air.
Our Future Track model for Saturday afternoon shows clouds over the mid-west with a few light showers for West Michigan. Most of the day should be dry.
By Sunday afternoon the storm system will track into Wisconsin with widespread rain for West Michigan. The rain will increase Sunday night into early Monday. Some snow is possible by Sunday night over the northern part of the state.
Temperatures for Saturday will warm into the mid-upper 50s. The record high for Grand Rapids is 60° set back in 1991. The record high for Muskegon is 57° set back in 1889.
