GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The suspect in a weekend shooting at a Grand Rapids gas station has turned himself in to police and has been arraigned.

Jose Quintino, 68, has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and being a Habitual Offender.  Bond for Quintino has been set at $500,000.

The shooting happened Saturday afternoon at the Marathon Gas Station in the 300 block of Franklin SW. Police say Quintino and the 24-year-old victim got into an argument in the gas station’s parking lot after being customers in the store. Quintino then allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim and left in an SUV.  The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
