Watch as 29,000 teddy bears are thrown on the ice at a pro hockey game

This time every year, the Calgary Hitmen hockey team holds a teddy bear toss during a game. At this year’s toss, they collected 28,815 bears from a sell-out crowd of 19,289, which is huge for any hockey team, including the NHL. In the 21 years the toss has been held, the team has collected nearly 300,000 teddy bears for children in need. It took 40 minutes to clear the ice of the bears, but not before some players partook in a little teddy bear diving.
