Suspect sought from Kalamazoo Co. home invasion

CHARLESTON TWP., Mich. – The Kalamazoo County Sheriff is looking for the suspect in a home invasion from last week.

Deputies responded to the incident in the 1500 block of N. 37 Street in Charleston Township.  A witness told investigators that they saw a man break into a residence while a woman watched from a vehicle.

Deputies found the vehicle and the suspects fled, starting a chase.  They crashed their car into a swamp near the 6500 block of Gleason Street in Comstock Township.

Deputies were able to take the woman, Lindsey Coppersmith, into custody.  The man, identified as Mitchell Allen Fletcher, 24, is still at-large.  Officials have a felony warrant out for his arrest.

Fletcher may be in the 5200 block of Pavilion Drive, the 6700 block of Charring Cross or the 6200 block of E. Michigan.  Police warn that he may armed.
