DETROIT (AP) — Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers is never out of a game. Just ask the Detroit Lions.
Rodgers threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to Richard Rodgers with no time left to give the Packers a stunning 27-23 victory over the Lions. The victory keeps the 8-4 Packers alive for the title in the NFC North as they trail Minnesota by a half-game. The Packers rallied from a 20-0 halftime deficit.
The Packers got the untimed down after Detroit defensive end Devin Taylor was called for grabbing Aaron Rodgers’ facemask on a tackle on what would’ve been the last play.
Given that second chance, Aaron Rodgers scrambled out of the pocket and reached the end zone with his Hail Mary. Richard Rodgers, a Cal product just like his quarterback, outleaped a quartet of Detroit defenders for the winning TD. Afterward, Aaron Rodgers called the comeback “the most amazing game I’ve ever been a part of.”
