EAST LANSING, Mich. -- 11 minutes into Wednesday night's Big Ten-ACC Challenge contest with 24th-ranked Louisville, third-ranked Michigan State was already staring down a 13-point deficit.

29 minutes later, the Spartans showed they've got the wherewithal to shake off a slow start.

Denzel Valentine and Bryn Forbes combined for 45 points on 8-17 three-point shooting to bring MSU back for a 71-67 win against the Cardinals, moving the Spartans to 8-0 on the season.

Muskegon grad and reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Week Deyonta Davis added 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks off the bench for Sparty, with a handful of highlight-reel dunks.
