West Michigan – A weak upper level storm system will pass over the state on Wednesday with a rain/snow mix for the area.
Our Future Track model shows snow developing late tonight or early Wednesday along and west of US-131. The snow may initially start as a rain/snow mix. No accumulation is expected for early in the day.
The Future Track model shows the rain/snow mix changing to all snow by early afternoon and continuing into the evening. Areas right along the lakeshore may continue to see some rain mixed in.
Most of the snow will melt as it falls throughout the day. Some accumulations are possible by later afternoon or evening. Most areas will see less than an inch, but north of Grand Rapids and away from the lake, 1-2 inches is possible on the grass.
