KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A semi driver died when his truck rolled over on the eastbound M-6 ramp to northbound U.S. 131 on Thanksgiving morning, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
The road was closed Thursday morning after the crash involving the semi-truck, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. The truck rolled over at the ramp, which was reported closed to traffic at 10:11 a.m.
MDOT cleared the roadway and it was reopened at 5:11 p.m. — exactly seven hours after it was shut.
The Michigan State Police are handling the incident. More details will be reported later as they become available.
