WASHINGTON (AP) — President Francois Hollande’s call to bring Russia into a new coalition to fight Islamic State group extremists isn’t likely to win the backing of President Barack Obama when the two meet today at the White House.
But the administration will reaffirm its solidarity with France in the wake of the Paris attacks.
Hollande’s visit is part of a diplomatic offensive to get more action from the international community.
Obama and Hollande will hold a joint news conference at about 11:30pm. We will stream the news conference live on FOX17Online.com.
