Police: Suspect arrested following shots fired report and domestic dispute

SPRINGFIELD, Mich. — No one was injured following a domestic dispute late Monday afternoon. Police said there was a gun reportedly fired during the altercation and a male suspect was detained by authorities.

Around 4:40 p.m. deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office went to the 400 block of North 25th Street in Springfield on a shot fired report. Battle Creek Police said they were given an address in the 200 block of Grove Street for further investigation. It was there they found the suspect’s car.

Police also said they apprehended a male suspect at the address and a two 12 gauge shot gun was found inside that had been recently fired.

The suspect was taken to the Calhoun County Jail and the incident remains under investigation.
