West Michigan – The first accumulating snow of the season is expected for Friday night and Saturday for the area.
The storm system will develop in the Central Plains Friday morning with a band of snow moving into Iowa.
By Friday evening the storm will have track into northern Missouri with snow spreading into Wisconsin and southwest Michigan.
The storm tracks into northern Illinois by Saturday morning with snow for all of West Michigan. The snow should continue into Saturday night with colder air and lake effect snow showers on Sunday.
The computer models vary on the exact track of the storm system. That will make a large difference on how much snow will fall in West Michigan. At this point, it looks like you want to have the shovel ready.
