COMSTOCK, Mich. – The woman who was taken into custody Wednesday after a homicide in Kalamazoo County has been released without charges.
Police were called by the woman to the home in Comstock at about 7:30am on reports of a domestic dispute. When they arrived, they found David Leonard Degoede, Jr., dead with a stab wound to the chest. The woman was taken into custody without incident.
The Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the incident, but temporarily denied filing charges against the woman. She was released Thursday. Her identity has not been released.
