West Michigan – A powerful fall storm system will track through the Great Lakes the next few days with very strong winds and rain.
At 9 PM Wednesday the storm system will be located in Iowa with rain developing along the lakeshore. Rain and a few thunderstorms are likely overnight.
The storm system will track to northern Lake Michigan by Thursday morning. Rain showers will continue for West Michigan with snow mixing with rain over the Upper Peninsula.
By Friday morning the storm will be located in Quebec with rain mixing with snow showers for West Michigan.
Winds will increase Wednesday evening and overnight with wind gusts exceeding 50 mph possible.
The strong winds will continue on Thursday with gusts exceeding 40 mph during the afternoon.
