West Michigan – A strong cold front will bring much cooler air and rain to the area later tonight. A narrow band of thunderstorms are possible and the Storm Predication Center has parts of West Michigan in a Marginal Risk for severe storms later tonight. The primary threat will be wind gusts over 50 mph as the front moves through.
At 3 AM the cold front will be over Lake Michigan with scattered thunderstorms moving into West Michigan along the lakeshore. Some of these storms may produce strong winds as they track east. Scattered power outages are possible.
By 7 AM the cold front will move into southeast Michigan with rain ending for West Michigan. Much cooler air moves in with afternoon temperatures only in the mid 40s and west winds 10-20 mph.
