KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Western Michigan University student who claimed he was the victim of an armed robbery admitted it never happened.
Over the weekend a male student said that he was robbed near the center of campus before midnight on Oct. 10. The suspects were said to have been a small group of men.
The student said he was walking alone when he was assaulted and knocked to the ground. He also told authorities he was robbed of a small amount of cash that he had on hand.
On Monday, police confirmed those allegations weren’t true.
