GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Grand Rapids man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car Friday afternoon.
It happened around 2:00 p.m. on Front Avenue near 6th Street NW in Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids Police said the 53-year-old man was crossing the street when he was hit by a car in the southbound lane. Police said the he suffered life threatening injuries. Authorities don’t believe speed nor alcohol played a role in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
