FORK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman was taken to the hospital after being hit by a truck Tuesday evening.
It happened just after 8:00 p.m. along 30 Mile Road and 22 Mile Road in the Village of Barryton.
The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office said a 30-year-old woman was crossing the road and didn’t see the truck coming. The driver, a 62-year-old man told police, he didn’t see her at first, but slammed on the brakes to try and avoid her.
The woman was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
