HOLLAND, Mich. -- A 7-month-old boy, Josiah Williams, has been reported missing and could be in danger according to police.
Several West Michigan communities have been on the lookout as the search intensifies. Child Protective Services issued a court order to take the child into custody, but the mother, Sarah Baird, 32, and Josiah is nowhere to be found.
Friends, neighbors and the police were concerned for the child's safety. Authorities said the trio was last seen is South Haven.
Baird's Holland home was all locked up on Thursday. The only sign of anyone living at the house were her children's three bikes located at the side of the home. Neighbors told FOX 17 Baird has 3 children: a 3 year-old, 5-year-old and 7-month-old. Authorities also stopped by the home, leaving business cards inside the door.
Baird's neighbor, Stacy Lochridge, said Sarah moved in several months ago.
"I would just like her to turn herself in and come home."
Lochridge also said their children played together daily.
"Her kids would be outside playing, doing some sidewalk chalk, and riding their bikes around there and would play with our kids."
She said although there's been no sign of Baird around the neighborhood, she has heard from her.
"I haven`t seen her since last week Wednesday I would say, but I did get a text from her [Thursday] saying that she is okay."
Authorities believe they skipped town due to the custody order issued by Child Protective Services.
