KALAMAZOO, Mich. — George Mack has been charged with murder in connection with the August shooting death of Edward Bell, according to Kalamazoo County District Court records.
Mack, 26, was arrested in Las Vegas Aug. 17 and later extradited back to Michigan to face charges. He was arraigned Monday on charges of open murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of felony firearms.
Bell was shot and killed Aug. 9 in the 1300 block of Rose Street. It is believed he was protecting his sister at the time of his death. She was in an abusive relationship with Mack in the past.
