Shooting in Grand Rapids sends man to hospital

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A gunshot in Grand Rapids sent a man to the hospital early Sunday morning.

The incident happened near the intersection of Quigley Street and S. Division Avenue at about 1:30am.

Grand Rapids police say that victim, 20, was in a car with two other men when they were approached by four other men on foot.  After a brief argument, one of the men outside the car pulled out a gun and fired one shot into the car, hitting the victim in the chest.  The driver of the car was not hurt and drove the victim to the hospital.

The man was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
