HOLLAND, Mich. — A Holland man is in serious condition after being stabbed multiple times in a home that Holland Police believe to be a methamphetamine lab.

Close to 5:30 AM Sunday morning, Holland Police were sent to the Holland Community Hospital to look into a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed multiple times earlier that night. Police determined that that the man had been stabbed at a home on W. 15th Street in Holland.

When police arrived at the home, they found a 23-year-old male near the address where the victim was stabbed. He was found to be a resident of the house where the stabbing took place and was taken into custody. The suspect had minor injuries and was taken to Holland Community Hospital for treatment.

The suspect remains in custody and is being held on an unrelated criminal bench warrant for a probation violation charge from Ottawa County.

Holland Police obtained a search warrant for the W. 15th Street address and found what is believed to be a methamphetamine lab. The West Michigan Drug Enforcement Team was called to dispose of the lab.

Charges will be sought from the Ottawa County Prosecutor Monday morning.
