West Michigan – A slow moving low pressure system will bring some significant rainfall to the area through Wednesday morning. Forecast rainfall amounts range from 1-2 inches with isolated amounts of 3-4 inches possible.
The storm system will track into Iowa by Tuesday morning with a trailing cold front. Rain and thunderstorms will increase over West Michigan.
The heaviest rain should fall from Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening as the low tracks just west of us. Showers and thunderstorms should be widespread. Severe thunderstorms are not expected but small hail wind gusts to 35 mph are possible.
By late Wednesday morning the cold front will slip through the area with rain ending. Skies will remain mostly cloudy for the day with cooler air moving into West Michigan.
