LOS ANGELES — Justin Bieber cried following his performance on Sunday during the MTV Video Music Awards. On Wednesday, Bieber explained to Jimmy Fallon why he got emotional.
“It was just so overwhelming for me,” Bieber said. “I missed some cues so I was a little disappointed at that … I wasn’t expecting them to support me in the way they did.”
Bieber continued:
“I’ve worked so hard at this album; I’ve worked so hard at just becoming the man that I want to become. And then stepping into situations, you just can’t help but feel judged. So I was just feeling judged and just wanting to win so badly and just wanting to do what I loved so badly that I just put everything on the line.”
Bieber also announced his new album will be released on Nov. 13.
