McDonald’s to launch all-day breakfast nationwide this fall

and last updated

McDonald’s announced Tuesday that they would roll out all-day breakfast nationwide on Oct. 6.

The fast food chain has been testing the idea of all-day breakfast since March. An internal previously told franchisees to be ready for the full roll out in October, and now an exact date has been announced.

McDonald’s typically stops serving McMuffins, hash browns and hot cakes at 10:30 a.m., though the cap on the breakfast menu varies from restaurant to restaurant.

The all-day breakfast announcement comes as the chain attempts to turn around slumping sales. Its restaurants are grappling with slumping traffic and stiff competition.
