HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 45-year-old Holland man was seriously injured Monday after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a car.

The crash happened at about 3:43 p.m. on northbound US-31 at Greenly Street when a 22-year-old Muskegon woman pulled out onto the road in front of him, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators say the motorcyclist had the right of way and the car driver had a yield sign.  The man swerved to try and avoid the crash and was unable to, officials said.

The driver of the car was not injured.
