GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man will spend several years in prison for heroin distribution in southwest Michigan.
Court documents released on Tuesday, reveal Joseph “Jo Jo” Jackson will spend 17 years for drug trafficking in the Benton Harbor dating back to 2013. Authorities said Jackson was the ring leader behind it. He reportedly helped sell up to 65 grams of heroin a week after acquiring the drugs from the Chicago area. Officials state Jackson then got others to transport and distribute the drugs to other people.
Jackson was the last of nine people sentenced for their involvement in this case.
