GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man who allegedly stabbed another passenger on a Rapid bus has been found competent to stand trial, according to Kent County Prosecutor William Forsyth.
Leroy Davis Jr., 42, faces assault with intent to do great bodily harm charges in connection with the May 11 stabbing. The attack happened in the area of Kalamazoo Avenue and Elliot Street and was captured on the bus’ surveillance video.
The victim received non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed in the neck.
Davis’ next court date has not yet been scheduled, according to Kent County’s online inmate records.
