MARSHALL, Mich. — A 31-year-old Alabama man was stabbed Thursday morning after getting into an argument with a fellow carnival worker in Marshall, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident happened on the Calhoun County Fairgrounds, 720 Fair St., at about 4:30 a.m. The two drunken carnival workers were initially arguing in downtown Marshall, but officials say the stabbing happened when they returned to their camper in the carnival employee area of the fairgrounds.
The suspect, a 38-year-old Florida man, allegedly stabbed the other worker in the chest and leg. He has been arrested on an attempted murder charge. His name will be released pending formal arraignment.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition, according to a release.
