GRAND RAPIDS – Authorities with the U.S. Marshals Western Michigan Fugitive Task Force have announced the arrest of a fugitive recently featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted.
30-year-old Jacques Williams was taken into custody by Grand Rapids Police on August 10 following a traffic stop in the area of Cherry Street and Division Avenue.
Federal authorities say Williams ran from the vehicle shortly after the traffic stop, and was arrested by pursuing officers a short time later.
Williams was wanted for violating his parole in early June.
His record includes prior convictions for assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, along with prior drug/cocaine convictions.
Federal authorities say Williams will also be charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine following last Monday’s arrest.
