Crooks cut hole through convenience store wall

ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Deputies are investigating a breaking and entering at a gas station convenience store that happened early Saturday morning.

At around 6:00 a.m., the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call at a Marathon Gas Station in the 32000 block of Red Arrow Highway.

When the store clerk came in for work they discovered the business had been broken into.

Deputies believe it occurred sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.

Apparently the suspect(s) busted a hole in the back side of the building and entered the store. Then they broke into the safe and stole the money.

Deputies also discovered that the alarm lines were cut.

Currently there are no suspects and the incident is still under investigation.
