KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- One man is dead following a shooting Sunday in the 1300 block of N. Rose St. in Kalamazoo., according to Kalamazoo police.
Police said the man, identified as 26-year-old Edward Bell, was shot behind a home just before 2 p.m. on Sunday. Bell was shot in the chest while visiting the home on N. Rose St., according to police. He died at the scene.
Details of what led up to the shooting have not been released by investigators.
Police are now asking for help locating the suspect in the case, identified as 26-year-old George Michael Mack. Investigators said he is roughly 6 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Kalamazoo Police and SWAT teams had a nearby home on N. Burdick St. surrounded Sunday evening, where they believed Mack might've been hiding. Shortly after 6 p.m. police said they were not able to find him inside.
