KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Two men were injured and one was jailed after a rollover crash sheared off a fire hydrant on Ravine Road early Wednesday in Kalamazoo Township.
Township Police were called to Ravine Road near Winding Way around 3:30 a.m. and found a 2005 Pontiac G6 had left the road and rolled over down an embankment. In the process, a hydrant was broken off, flooding the yards of two residences.
The water was shut off and by sunrise crews were making repairs.
Meanwhile, two passengers in the car were treated at Borgess Medical Center. a 26-year-old Holland man was treated and released; a 34-year-old Allegan man remained in the hospital later Wednesday morning.
The driver, a 21-year-old Allegan man was suspected of driving drunk and was placed in Kalamazoo County Jail until the county prosecutor's office decides on possible charges.
