DETROIT, Mich. – Detroit Tigers General Manager Dave Dombrowski has been released from his contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Al Avila will replace him as the team’s general manager, according to a release.
“I would like to thank Dave Dombrowski for his 14 years of service,” Tigers owner Mike Illitch said in a release, later adding, “I feel this is the right time for the Tigers to move forward under new leadership.”
