UPDATE:  The Grand Rapids Police Department has identified multiple suspects who were caught on camera in the viral video of an assault at Rosa Parks Circle. Sgt. Terry Dixon told FOX 17 News Wednesday that detectives are "feverishly working on locating and interviewing the assault suspects," and then making possible arrests.

Dixon said the large amount of tips GRPD received after the video went public have been immensely helpful.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Police released video footage hoping someone would recognize those taking part in an assault caught on camera near Rosa Parks Circle.

It happened around 10:15 p.m. on July 28th near Monroe Avenue and Louis Street.

Police say the video shows several people punching and kicking a man.

"While this is not the most heinous of crimes, the community and the Grand Rapids Police Department will not tolerate this behavior in our city," Chief David Rahinsky said in a Monday night release.

No arrests have been made.
