West Michigan – A strong cold front moved the state on Sunday with several rounds of severe weather.
Most of West Michigan saw winds of 40-50 mph with some higher gusts. Hail reports were mainly 1/4 ” with one report of 1″ hail near Muskegon.
The radar images above show the thunderstorm line at 4 PM as it moved into the northern part of the state. Widespread severe wind damage was reported around Glenn Arbor. By 9 PM the line of storms was moving into the Grand Rapids area and weakening slightly. By 1 AM the storms had moved out of the area and into northern Indiana and Ohio.
