Grand Rapids temp hits 90!

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Streaks are meant to be broken! Grand Rapids has broken its streak of 685 consecutive days below 90 degrees.

Just before 5 p.m., the National Weather Service at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport confirms that Grand Rapids hit 90.

It was close.  At 4 p.m., it was 88. A slight cool down is coming Wednesday and we'll be back in the mid 80s for the next week or so.

Before today, the last 90 degree day as registered in Grand Rapids was Sept. 10, 2013.  Muskegon and some other West Michigan communities hit 90 earlier this week.
