ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. – A Grand Rapids man was arrested Monday for allegedly driving drunk with a truck full of refrigerators.

The Allegan County Sheriff says that the 36-year-old man was reported by several motorists on U.S. 131 northbound near the Kalamazoo County line at about 5:30pm.  The callers told Allegan dispatchers that the 24-foot box truck was weaving all over the highway, nearly running vehicles off the road.

Allegan deputies found the truck on U.S. 131 at about 129th Avenue.  The driver did appear to have been drinking according to deputies and he was arrested for drunk driving.  The truck was carrying 27 refrigerators.

Deputies say the man’s blood alcohol content was well above the legal limit.  His name has not yet been released.
