PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Six people from Battle Creek were arrested following a drug bust on Tuesday. The sequence of events that led to the arrests began when Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies stopped someone they considered suspicious.
While talking with the subject, deputies learned he was arranging a drug buy and learned the source of the drugs.
In the afternoon, deputies obtained a search warrant and located illegal drugs, illegal prescription medicines, and material for packaging and distribution of the drugs in a house in the 6000 block of Morgan Road.
Six Battle Creek residents ranging in age from 17 to 65 were arrested at the residence and now face drug charges. Their identities will be withheld until they are arraigned.
