Officials: Everything is fine following water rescue in Grand Haven

GRAND HAVEN Mich. — One person was rescued from Lake Michigan Thursday evening.

The first call came in just before 9:00 p.m after someone spotted something in the water about 150 to 200 yards from shore. Dispatchers tell FOX 17 it was in the area of 1223 S. Harbor Dr. in Grand Haven.

Authorities said it turned out to be a person after some speculation that it may have been a buoy  bobbing in the water .

We also learned that the person rescued was checked out by medical personnel and everything was fine.
